Mission

Global Echo is dedicated to pursuing strategic litigation in courts across the globe against corporations complicit in systematic violations of Palestinian human rights under Israel’s occupation.

Our mission is to deliver justice to affected communities, end corporate impunity, and ultimately render Israeli occupation and apartheid unsustainable.

Background

Israel commits international crimes and systematically violates the human rights of Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Syrians in the occupied Syrian Golan, but it doesn’t act alone. Foreign corporations help sustain and legitimize these abuses by providing financial, technical, and reputational support. Yet not one corporation has ever been held legally accountable for complicity in Israeli occupation and apartheid.
Palestinian litigants know that Israeli courts will not deliver them justice or structural change. Legal efforts to challenge Israeli abuses in foreign jurisdictions have been rare, under-resourced, and largely unsuccessful. One reason these violations persist is because corporations have yet to be faced with a credible legal threat that surpasses political and market pressures to desist – until now.
Founded in 2018 by leading Israeli and Palestinian human rights lawyers, Global Echo was created to fill this gap.
We combine:
  • Specialized focus: Business and Human Rights litigation in the Israeli-Palestinian context is our sole mission.
  • Strategic case selection: We’ve mapped legal systems worldwide to pursue only the strongest cases with the highest likelihood of success.
  • Unmatched investigative access: Fluency in Hebrew and Arabic, deep ties to both victim and perpetrator communities, and use of cutting-edge investigation techniques ensure we meet the highest evidentiary standards.

Global Echo is working to make corporate complicity costly and accountability unavoidable.

Strategy

Global Echo is the missing link between violations on the ground and legal systems abroad.
Global Echo conducts rigorous, high-tech, multi-lingual field investigations to gather evidence that meets – and exceeds – the requirements of courts in targeted jurisdictions. We then lead international legal coalitions with expert litigators, affected Palestinian communities, and international civil society. Together, we bring cases against corporate actors in their home countries for their complicity in abuses abroad.
We focus on corporate conduct that is essential to maintaining Israel’s occupation:
  • The pillage of land and natural resources
  • The destruction of homes and forced displacement
  • The expansion of Israel’s settlement enterprise
  • The use of weapons and military surveillance against civilians

By leveraging jurisdictions with robust international legal frameworks and strong precedents, applying innovative legal theories, and exceeding the evidentiary threshold, we raise the cost of corporate complicity in the occupation.
Our theory of change is simple: strategic litigation to stop ongoing corporate abuses and deter future perpetrators – alongside other levers of change – will trigger a domino effect that renders the occupation unsustainable.
