Global Echo Litigation Center challenges Israel’s systems of occupation and apartheid by confronting its corporate accomplices. Through targeted investigations, strategic litigation, and international advocacy, we hold economic actors accountable for enabling and profiting from human rights violations, deter future perpetrators, and deliver material change to Palestinian communities on the ground.
BACKGROUND
Founded in 2018, Global Echo is the first and only organization whose sole mission is to bring strategic litigation in courts around the world against economic actors complicit in violations of Palestinian human rights.
For over half a century, Israel’s occupation and apartheid have violated the human rights of Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Following the global trend toward privatization of armed conflict, these violations persist with foreign commercial support. But to date, not one corporation has been held legally accountable.
Decades of efforts to protect Palestinian rights in the Israeli legal system have had limited success. Facing a lack of legal remedy at home, Palestinian and Israeli human rights advocates have begun to seek solutions abroad. However, despite the mobilization of civil society and attempts to hold companies accountable in foreign courts, these violations endure because corporations have yet to be met with a credible legal threat. Global Echo fills this void.

Through our work we deliver justice to affected communities, end corporate impunity, and ultimately render Israeli occupation and apartheid unsustainable.
